Activities For Our Visitors
We have two computers permanently in our Drop-In café, so that visitors can check their emails. This is an important service as many otherwise lack the chance to do so. An IT class runs on Thursdays from 1-3pm. This supports those who want to improve their basic computer skills.
Free basic literacy classes run on Mondays from 11am to 1pm. Prior registration is required. A new English for Work class has started on Thursday 11am-1pm. This is open to all and not just those who are already entitled to work
Every year we organise a summer outing so that families, particularly those with young children, can see places that they would not normally visit. We have travelled with visitors to the beach in Brighton and to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens, London. In 2012, we took a group of visitors to the Paralympics; last year our summer outing went to Tottenham Hotspurs Football Stadium followed by a picnic in the park.
Our Drop-In Café is for people of all religions and none. But for those who are in search of spiritual support, a chaplain attends twice a week.
The Art Group meets on Mondays from 1-3pm.
